Opal the Medium Octopus

70.00

The octopus family is now complete! Opal is the Goldilocks of the group - not too big, not too small, but just right.

She shares the same sleepy eyes and wonderfully squishable body as her brothers Opus and Opie, and is equally at home perched on a sofa or at the head of a bed.

Opal’s body is knitted in the round and her tentacles are worked flat. If you can knit a hat, you can knit this octopus! Opal measures 24 in. / 60 cm in length, and her head diameter is 5.5 in. / 14 cm.

The kit includes all the hand-dyed yarn you'll need to complete the project - 400 y / 130 grams in the main color, and 200 y / 70 grams in the contrast color. The yarn for this project is held double, and your yarn comes doubled, caked, and ready to cast on.

You’ll also get two sets of bamboo double-pointed needles, specialty cat-pupil safety eyes, a yarn needle, stitch markers, and 15 ft of roving to stuff Opal's tentacles.

If you’d like to choose your own color combination, choose the "Custom Combination” option for color, and leave me a note when you check out with your choices for the body and the underbelly. Thanks!
