Good things come in threes.

Named for mythic sisters in Greek Mythology, Fates and Graces are three-packs of cake-dyed gradients. They are sisters (from the same dye lot), but not triplets. Variegated, speckled, or semi-solid, each stripe brings something new to your needles.

The yarn used to make these gradients is Helix, but missing a bit of twist. Every hundred skeins or so, the mill produces a skein of Helix that doesn't have quite as much twist as it should. I put these skeins aside for dye experiments, and thus Fates and Graces were born.

There are two patterns available for this yarn - the Fates & Graces Echo Shawl (photos 2 & 3), and the Fates & Graces Bias Scarf (photo 4).

This yarn pack comes with everything you need to make the Fates and Graces Bias Scarf - the pattern, a 3.75 mm x 80 cm bamboo circular needle (U.S. size 5), and a notions pack with stitch markers in three colors and a yarn needle.

If you want to make the Echo Shawl, the total kit price is $98. You’ll need an additional 500 yards of Helix in either Dovecote (light grey) or Graphite (dark grey). Please purchase a 650 yd skein of Helix in your choice of color, and leave me a note at check out that you’re making the Echo Shawl, and I will manually process your refund and include the pattern, three 3.75 mm x 80 cm bamboo circular needles and a set of 3.75 mm DPNs (U.S. size 5), and a notions pack with stitch markers in three colors and a yarn needle.

Thanks!
