Treasure Cake Shawl

What if you could take dozens of short lengths of gorgeous-but-nearly-unusable scrap yarn, knit them up into a simple and stunning shawl, and only have to weave in two ends when you’re done?

While it may sound like magic, it’s actually made possible by one quick and easy join.

This pattern includes Cate’s Clasp Weft Join, and is designed for use with Infinite Twist Treasure Cakes, which are 600 yard gradient put-ups of Helix, our best-selling yarn.

Easy enough for new knitters, and perfectly potato-chippy. Once you’re past the first few rows, this shawl is easy to knit without the pattern – perfect for social knitting or travel.

Quintia by Cate Carter-Evans

Using the simplicity of garter stitch to make the most of the gorgeous texture of handspun, this five-color heart-shaped shawl is remarkably easy to wear.

Its angled shape keeps it in place with a minimum of fuss, and it’s just the right size to be cozy without being overly bulky. It’s simple to knit, and works up fast.
