It’s actually the most wonderful time of the year: gearing up for Lunar New Year!

When it’s 2 a.m. and you pull your intarsia project out of the bag and get this. I would truly rather be sleeping.

finished object friday: socks!

February 01, 2014

Pattern: Toe-up Randle Socks with lots of modifications, including using the Fish Lips Kiss heel technique, and using Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off.

Yarn: Blissful Knits Inspire in the Full Bloom Colorway via Apples to Oranges in Silverton, OR

I'm really happy with how these turned out! They are definitely fraternal twins, but that's how I like my socks.

The yarn was a treat - soft, gorgeous colors, and nice and bouncy. They're superwash wool, and  25% nylon content should make them especially durable.

If I had it to do over again, I would go down a needle size and makes the socks slightly shorter - they are a bit on the big side after blocking.

Did you finish any projects this week? If so, please feel free to share a link in the comments!
